Day 3: 青青草原, 饒河街夜市, 五分埔

8 July 2014,

Up bright and early for breakfast at the lobby before heading off to Green green grassland by the Minsu's free charter service. Trust me when they say you can also take a 30 mins walk don't do it because we "accidentally" ended up walking back and it was up the hills and down the hills hiking.

Breakfast was simple and normal american with not much variety but good enough if you're not fussy.

Was drizzling when we woke up so we were hoping it will stop soon and the sun will be out soon but damn it totally did not even when we were leaving.

Kids tickets at NT$20, Adults tickets at NT$160

Remember to get your cute Sheep stamp at the entrance for re-entry!

Seeing all the greenie bright photos people took when they're there just show how "lucky" we were to have met up with such a weather.

See how blurry it is? Totally big difference from what we normally from instagram.
WHY ARE WE SO "LUCKY" ?!

The mist turned this green cheery place into a haunted woods. Why do they have to disappoint me like this when this place is the main reason we came for!

Most alike expression sure goes to this father and daughter. Lol.

 So creepy with the mist.
BIG BIG SIGH*

Was making our way to the Sheep Musical show but damn we can only hear the sound but couldn't see a thing even when we're standing infront of the stage!

  I still prefer cow's milk :/

Though the milk isn't my liking but the ice cream is! Ice cream in cold weather is life!

Coin machine again! Have been collecting these from different tourist attraction some time ago but why do they rust or tarnish so fast?!

Must try this Gong wan (meatball) soup! Damn shiok for the cold weather!

Here's Clovine with her new sheep buddy which is now isolated in her toy box.
She'll always request buying animal toys when she sees them on like each trip and then isolate them till she sees some of her animals on tv and then starts showering them with hugs again.

At least we did get some partial green photos...

There isn't much pictures of us together with the sheep because they are so good at playing camouflage, they totally blend into the mist. Urgh.

Super cute sheep umbrella we got there as it was raining and yes I did lug it to hong kong and back to Sg even though its a unfoldable umbrella and we had to hand carry it everywhere.
Because it just too cute to throw it away!

Haha I think hubby had a really good workout carrying the sleeping girl while hiking all the way back!

Hehe finally a proper picture with the sheep I think it's posing with me for the camera!

See how sian our hike back to the Minsu was? Because the whole journey back was covered in mist and the drizzle just made the whole hike back worst.
I'm sure if its good weather, our hike would be a really enjoyable one! D:

Just the mist alone can turn this beautiful place into a ghost town.
So frustrating.

More up slopes back to our Minsu really can die.

Check out the huge giant lettuce/cabbage!

Hahaha look at Clovine's cheeky expression!
Why she so joker one always trying to make people laugh at her.

Hubby tried dragging Clovine up the slope...

But failed because its even more tiring than carrying her. Lol.

Remember I shared about how high up our room is from the lobby? This is the flight of steps up an no it does not end at the top of this because there's like another 3 storeys of steps!

Arranged for our transport back to the Tai Chung High speed rail station through the friendly boss of the minsu which they provide at quite an affordable price and very convenient.

Will definitely return to MistyVilla Minsu if we ever visit Cingjing again so as to try out their European design rooms which require less climbing!

CityInn Hotel (Ximending branch)
Checked into our 3rd hotel of the trip which is just opposite Ximending with a convenience store below and next to the Train station. Very good and friendly staffs who managed to help us check in really quickly, provided us with useful information and even offered to help us with our itinerary. CityInn does have the cleanest rooms at really affordable rates!

The toilet is big enough for a small room and the best part is the bath tub which Clovine loves coming back to!
Totally don't need to nag at her to bathe because everytime we step into the room she will immediately take off her clothes and rush to the bathroom!
LOL!

饒河街夜市 (Rao He Night Market)

Rao He Night Market is actually smaller and less crowded compared to Shihlin Night Market. It's also very near to the famous Wu Fen Pu whole sale street so it's always good to plan them together in your itinerary so you would not have to travel twice. Though it's smaller than Shihlin, there's still many good street food you can try there!

Nearest Metro: Huo Shan Pi Station

Played some arcade which could be found along the streets.
Quite a long time since I last stepped into an arcade!

Here's also the place where you can find Taiwan spree shops, such as PGmall bags and Sky Blue bags.

One of the stalls here also sells really cute egg waffles!!!

Too cute to not try and it's also really crispy and yummy!

五分埔 Wu Fen Pu Wholesale
Walking distance from Raohe Night market, in my opinion don't expect much from here if you're not going to buy bulks and also if you're the lazy kind who refuses to walk into every single store. Basically it's just like our Bugis street and prices are also around bugis street prices.
In order to get really good bargains, you have to buy in bulks or you have to really walk into every store to search for good bargains.

Didn't even get a single thing from here because of post bangkok syndrome. I just can't stop comparing the prices against the ones in Bangkok which was just days ago! Lol.

Well I guess too much shopping really does kinda suck cause I totally have no feel for shopping after I came back to SG for like at least 2 months.
The bangkok trip with the girls really did drained out my energy for shopping.
